However, figuring out where to start and what to learn next can be overwhelming. In this blog, I'll provide a roadmap for web developers to help guide you through the process of learning and mastering the skills required for a successful career in web development. I will share some resources at the end of the blog so you can start learning RIGHT NOW and for FREE.

HTML and CSS

These are the building blocks of the web. HTML is used for creating the structure of web pages, while CSS is used for styling them. Every web developer needs to have a solid understanding of these two technologies.

JavaScript

Once you have a good grasp of HTML and CSS, it's time to move on to JavaScript. It's an essential tool for creating dynamic and interactive web applications. Learn the basics of JavaScript, including data types, variables, loops, conditionals, and functions.

Front-End Framework libraries

There are many front-end frameworks and libraries that can help you build better and faster web applications. Some of the popular ones include React, Angular, and Vue.js. I personally prefer React and Vue.js. React has a huge community, but Vue.js is easier to start learning. You shouldn't think about it too much. Choose one and just start learning it thoroughly.

Back-end development

Learn a back-end programming language such as Node.js, PHP, Python, or Ruby, and a back-end framework such as Express, Laravel, Flask, or Ruby on Rails. i started learning Laravel because it has a huge and supporting community. In my personal experience it doesn't really matter what you start with you can always transfer you knowledge elsewhere if needed.

Database

Databases are used for storing and retrieving data from web applications. Learn how to work with popular databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.

Testing and debugging

Testing and debugging are crucial to ensuring the quality of web applications. Learn how to use testing frameworks such as Jest, phpunit, Mocha, or Jasmine, and debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools or VSCode.

Don't stop learning

Web development is constantly evolving, and new technologies and tools are being introduced all the time. Stay up to date by reading blogs, attending conferences, and experimenting with new technologies.

• The Odin Project - This is another great place to start learning. The Odin Project is also free and a very valid option to choose.
• Laracasts - If you want to learn PHP for the Back-End, Laracasts is a great place to improve your skills. They also have free courses. However, they have a paid subscription for $15.
• EggHead.io - If you want to improve your JavaScript skills for Back-End, EggHead.io is a great place to go.
• Documentations and Blogs - Don't forget! After you have some knowledge under your belt you can start learning from documentations and blogs. There are millions of blogs around the internet.
